2 Corinthians 9:7 tells us 'God loves a cheerful giver.' The Greek word for cheerful here is 'hilaros' — where we get our word hilarious. God loves a hilarious giver. Someone who gives with so much joy it almost looks absurd. Generosity is not about percentages. It's about posture. Are you holding tightly or holding loosely? Everything we have is a gift from God — we're not owners, we're stewards. When you give, something supernatural happens: the grip of money on your heart loosens. Jesus said where your treasure is, your heart will be also. Generosity redirects your heart toward the eternal. And the promise of verse 8: 'God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.' Generosity is never a loss. It's always an investment.
